Camping - Locally at McDowell Park:

You can stay the night at the preserve's 56-site family campground complete with RV sites, tent sites, and a Rent-A-Tent program where a 9'x12' tent and two cots

The campground even has hot showers!

The new restroom facility has 8 private, lockable restroom/shower facilities and a washer/dryer facility.

Camp Thunderbird Rules:

No alcohol * No cooking * No pets * No camping * No unsupervised children * Camping or sleeping in vehicles is NOT allowed.

Updating Your Registration Status:

If you are adding meals or cabin space to your registration you can do so up to March 5th. Please, if you wish to stay in a cabin with a group, be sure to list desired cabin mates.

Earplugs are suggested for light sleepers, as we can not guarantee a quiet cabin.
